Overview:
Car salesman Macy is in need of some fast cash. He hires two men to kidnap his wife (Rudrud) so that he can swindle the ransom money out of his father-in-law. He promises the kidnappers $40,000 for the job, but not-so-surprisingly everything goes wrong. A deliberately slow-paced movie with a healthy dose of comedy, violence, and suspense.
The Coen brothers pitched the movie as a true story, but then later admitted their story was fiction.
